WOO HOO! I'm finally back from Redang Island, M'sia.
It was AWESOME there... Except for the Beach Resort.
The whole place had only 1 recreation room.
And there was only Pool (Billard) and Table Tennis.
BUT...
The beach was a BREATHTAKING sight.
It is nth like S'pore's beaches.
The sand is SOOOO soft and the water was blue and CRYSTAL CLEAR.
Well, the 'GETTING THERE' part really pissed me off.
The executive coach was OKAY.
The automated seat was a massage chair! Haha.
HOWEVER, the MOVIES are like boring. The games?
Like from the 90's.
Since it was like past midnight, I decided to past time by sleeping and listening to music. =]
Then, we arrived at the Jetty, It was 8.30 am.
The ferry was at 10.30 am!!!!
So went to the horrible place to have breakfast.
I somehow managed to chew 12 strips of gum.
Took the long ferry ride to Redang Island. Took abt 1h 15 min I think.
Arrived at the Berjaya Redang Beach Resort.
Checked in to our DELUXE GARDEN SUITE.
Went to have lunch. It was like damn EXPENSIVE.
One meal for 4 was abt... 150 Ringgit. And there was only 3 restaurants!
One for dinner, One for 3 meals, one by the beach.
Then we went to check out our activities for the next day (It was Free and Easy)
Haha. Found out tt we were going to SNORKEL the next day.
4 spots. For abt 3.5 hours.
Then we got bored and we went to the Beach to swim...
Was low tide, so i managed to touch the seabed at abt 1.6m.
It was almost the maximum depth during low tides.
Swam till abt 7 for dinner. Had Dinner at the Beach Restaurant.
Food was nice but was ex.
They served abt 6 breadsticks. =]
Turned in at about 11.
Woke up early the nxt morning. About 6. To prepare for breakfast.
Had a big breakfast. (It was buffet, included in the Tour Package)
Then, went to get changed for snorkelling.
Took the boat for snorkelling. Had this damn dirty gear.
Jumped down for the first stop called Turtle Bay.
But you can expect, NO TURTLES on tt day.
The other 3 spots was OK.
Also, didn't see sharks.
However, on the last stop, we did spot a stingray.
Didn't take any pics. =[
No underwater camera.
I got tanned but only a little.
Bathed, had lunch and went to play Pool...
WON.
Went to the beach agn. This time just went to throw sand at ppl. Haha.
Also sat there with the sun in my face and played music.
Dinner as usual. And turned in at abt same time after watching TV.
The next day was also a rather quite boring day.
Swam early in the morning at abt 10am.
Was high tide so couldn't go deep.
The most I made was abt 1.7m when the deepest was 2m ++
At 1.7m, I put an empty water bottle down and collected water.
Show 106 guys someday!
Also collected some broken parts of the corals.
Then, parents went for Spa. Stuck in the suite with my sister.
Lucky got 2 TVs. Ordered Room Service and had like 12 satays.
Had a 1h nap then. Later in the evening, dinner was as usual and we had entertainment, a grp of 3 ppl was like there playing music.
Went to play pool and table tennis.
Shopped at the souvenir shop and bought 2 T-Shirts. :D
Turned in for the last night..
Woke up @ 5 am the next day to wash up and prepare for breakfast.
Had breakfast @ 6 and went to the beach to collect some sand.
6.30, and we boarded the bus to the Jetty.
Ferry ride left at 7.15 am.
They showed Pirates of the Carribean during the trip, was quite boring.
Arrived once agn at the worst Jetty I've been.
The coach was scheduled to leave @ 11.30 am.
Guess what time it was?
8.45 am.!!!!!!!!!
Received the call tt saved my life at 9.15 am.
We could wait in the coach!
Went to the coach and waited until 11.30am.
Had lunch at 2.30pm.
Then dinner at 7.30 pm.
Reach M'sia customs at 10pm.
So many ppl! There was like 1 whole row of Vietnamese beside and in front of me.
Finally got on the coach at 10.55 pm.
Reach Woodlands checkpoint at 11.00
Pass the customs and baggage check. (Was scared my sand was taken as drugs)
But I passed. And I found out tt if u carried chocolate, u were checked.
Took the coach to a bus-stop where we were dropped.
A taxi was waiting so there was no need to flag one down.
Home Sweet Home at 11.30.
Well, this conclude my overseas trip :D
